Basic Weaving Terminology
| Term | Definition |

| Warp | The vertical threads that are held under tension on the loom. |
| Weft | The horizontal threads that are woven through the warp. |
| Shed | The space created when the warp threads are separated, allowing the weft to pass through. |
| Heddle | A device on a loom that separates the warp threads to create a shed. |
| Tapestry Needle | A large, blunt needle used to weave the weft threads. |
Weaving Techniques

The Tapestry Weaving Process
